I take a spray bottle and spray directly on the furniture and around it then use a cleansing broom to gently brush away what could be there. I live in a place with mostly carpet so a spray bottle for such areas is common place around here and then a mop for the hard floors.

I always follow up my physical washes with burnt incense to get the nooks, crannies, and corners.

Hope that helps.ConjureMan Alihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15837523711909588929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-296009907218496806.post-28776685608103385662010-12-02T10:08:12.254-08:002010-12-02T10:08:12.254-08:00I don't have a hostile spirit in my house, but...I don't have a hostile spirit in my house, but I do have house cleansing problems, and your post gave me an idea.

Basically, it's a matter of too much furniture (old, some home-built, not willing to get rid of any till the kids grow up) and a houseful of kids in a little bitty space. It's hard to do a proper floor washing, at least in a single day. We do a complete house cleaning once or twice a year, but otherwise clean one or two rooms a day. Would either of the following plans work, in your experience?

First possibility is doing a spiritual floor washing spread out over two days. Can that be effective or at least better than nothing?

Otherwise, I could get use the spray bottle method behind or under the heaviest things, and wherever space is so tight it's hard to move things. I could rig a bottle on a stick or something. Then I'd use a mop or a long-handled brush, say, wrapped in a rag to reach way back---but those places wouldn't get scrubbed really good.

Any chance either would be effective? If not, is there another method you might recommend, even if it's second best?

Thank you for your info-packed blog, too: good stuff.

--
HieronimoAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-296009907218496806.post-86776378128319925152010-11-12T14:24:28.685-08:002010-11-12T14:24:28.685-08:00Sensitive smoke detectors can indeed pose a proble...Sensitive smoke detectors can indeed pose a problem. While I have not had too much of an issue with them here are some easy solutions to this nuisance.

First, you can work with something that gives off far less smoke than resin on charcoal. For example, Sage bundles give off small bits of smoke, but are wonderful for cleansing a place of negativity.

Second, work with cleansing conjures that don't involve smoke at all. In hoodoo physical washes are very common. In the third part of this blog I mentioned one such wash. These physical washes and baths can be done on their own.

Finally the easiest solution of all is taking out the batteries from the smoke detector while fumigating ;-PConjureMan Alihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15837523711909588929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-296009907218496806.post-61122221454068160132010-11-12T03:15:58.408-08:002010-11-12T03:15:58.408-08:00Thanks for sharing this. I've always wanted to work with cleansing smoke to purify an area (either by just using smoking sage, or a technique like the one that you mentioned) But the problem that I run into, is that the smoke always sets off the smoke alarm. I always seem to have the misfortune of living in places where even the tiniest trickle of smoke from the oven sets off the alarm. I'm lucky the candles I use don't set it off.

How do you deal with that when you purify places? Or what would you do in that case?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
